The ancient Mayans developed a fascinating method for growing crops in an otherwise non-farmable area.
First, they had to perform a “slash and burn” technique on the jungle where they wanted to farm.
This cleared the vegetation there, but it also worked some “magic” on the soil.
You see, the rain forest and jungle typically has soil that is not fertile enough for farming.
By burning the existing trees and foilage, it created a lot of ash.
Ash can be mixed into the soil, making it more fertile.
Then, the Mayan farmers could grow their crops on this newly fertilized and cleared soil.
They would farm for a few years, but this would take all the nutrients out of the soil, turning it into non-fertile land.
So, they would move on to another part of the jungle, burning that down and planting their crops again.
The old farmland would be left alone for a generation, allowing the jungle to creep back in.
The next generation could take that old farmland – now jungle – and repeat the “slash and burn” technique.
This resulted in many generations being able to use the same plots of land for farming.
With farming and agriculture, civilization grew.
The ash byproduct was used as a key ingredient for the advance of man.
Today, ash is being used again in a way that could change our whole industry.
A company that I have been in contact with is using fly ash from power plant waste to create a new type of proppant.
This proppant is lighter, stronger, and cheaper than most man made proppants today, giving them a competitive edge in the hydraulic fracturing market.
They are looking for investors, and if you are qualified, this might be an enormous opportunity for you.
Here’s the deal:
** They are going to locate their plant within striking distance of lots of oil fields
** This new proppant type has actual lab results that you can look at, and they have a product that is lighter, strong, and cheaper than the competitors
** These very smart people may go public with their company at some point soon, so this opportunity might be great for someone looking to get into a company before it goes public
** These folks are looking for investors right now, with a minimum of around $50k, but they are moving fast towards their goal
