That’s a great quote from the author of Gulliver’s Travels.
Growing up on the rolling prairies of northeast Montana, we didn’t get too many chances to eat fresh seafood, and when we did it sure wasn’t oysters.
After leaving to go on my “adventures” in Uncle Sam’s Navy, I was able to eat a lot more seafood, some of which required a bit of courage.
Sushi and raw oysters still make me a bit nervous, but I try to eat these whenever I can because they are still a novelty for me and taste real good.
Smoked and canned oysters are available in most places — even Butte Montana — so I try to buy high quality versions of these when I can.
But whenever visiting somewhere near the sea that has plentiful oysters, I still have to summon a bit of courage to order and eat raw oysters.
Doing scary things is good for us.
Without pushing ourselves, we do not improve ourselves.
It’s hard to build muscle without lifting heavier weights.
This year, my kids have been climbing ever higher on playground equipment, learning to swim, and trying to ride bikes without training wheels.
I am certain that without pushing themselves to do scary things, they wouldn’t build the skills they need to be successful people. It comes natural to kids!
They have taught me the necessity of courage.
So, I let them climb high and even let them play around outside now without any real supervision (even though it may scare me in the process, heh).
You could say I respect the hell outta those with courage.
So, I’m building my business lines around helping those out with the drive and courage to venture into the minerals and oil and gas businesses.
For those exploring for frac sand, barite, garnets, you name it — I put together nice packages of testing you can do on a budget. You can do lots of exploring and testing on a budget working with me.
For others that are already selling or buying frac sand, barite, other minerals, land, investments, equipment (you name it), I have an extensive network, and love to *connect* players together for fun and profit.
