Fifty-one years ago this September, President John F. Kennedy had a great and inspirational speech regarding going to the moon before the decade closed out.
“We choose to go to the moon. We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…”
Before those famous lines, JFK talked about other difficult things and why exactly we set our minds to do them.
It’s in our pioneer spirit, I suppose.
At Global Energy Labs we’re not planning on going to the moon (yet), but we are doing some pretty nifty work in the area of proppant testing.
For instance, right now we’re working on a better method to determine how round and spherical proppants (like fracturing sands) are. We’re looking into using software created for the medical industry to examine and do calculations on individual sand particles.
Also, we’re researching ways to make proppant conductivity testing cheaper and easier than most test equipment allows for now.
