Let’s face it, it’s not much fun to read the news these days.
And you know what to do if you don’t like the news?
If you don’t like the news, go read a really old newspaper! So that’s exactly what I did this afternoon was read a really old newspaper.
An edition of “The Butte Miner” from January, 1912!
And (of course) even then, presidential politics had the front page coverage. In the case of 1912, the controversy of the day was the fact that former president Theodore Roosevelt was being secretive about whether or not he was going to run for President in 1912.
(spoiler alert) He did run, and lost to Woodrow Wilson.
Anyway, the press was so riled up by the fact that Roosevelt the Rough Rider was playing cat and mouse with the press (gasp! but we’re the PRESS!), and wouldn’t directly answer their questions.
In fact, they chased him down in a private club, where he was having a conversation with a well known politician, and Roosevelt chewed the press out for chasing him like that!
Sometimes what we don’t know about something can drive us nuts. It’s the mystery.
Especially in the modern era, where much of man’s body of knowledge about the world can be called upon in a flash, through a small gadget we carry with us at all times.
In the field of laboratory analysis, results can be luckily be had fairly quickly. Some analyses take longer than others to perform, but generally with our lab, you can have results in as soon as a few days, by paying for rush turnaround.
Our normal testing turnaround time is 10 business days, give or take, depending on how many samples you have and what analyses you need done. By adding a rush fee, and working with us to make sure we know your shipping tracking number, we can get you answers much faster than the press could in 1912.
