Gargoyles, Empty Wine, & Testing

I usually park in a new parking garage while I am working.  Interesting parking garage design, that’s for sure. One of the funny things they did in the construction was that they installed gargoyles on concrete benches just inside the garage!

Gargoyles on a public bench?

That’s right.  And these were fairly small gargoyles.  So, not only do you run the risk of some poor person SITTING on the gargoyle, but it is also an easy target for vandals and thieves to just snap the gargoyle off and put it in their pack.

Which is what happened… some culprits just snapped them off and kept them.

Almost immediately after the parking garage opened, ha.

Gargoyles are supposed to be installed in the high reaches of a building’s corners, in order to ward off evil spirits from above.  Not be an easy picking keepsake for thieves!

The other feature is that the parking garage makes for a nice shelter in the summer and winter for our transient population.  Which isn’t a large number of people, but it’s still significant for our small town.

And with people staying in the garage comes a bit of partying at night.

The other day I was coming into work, headed up the stairs, and I saw an empty bottle of “Silver Bells Moscato” wine sitting right next to the staircase.  (Which only gets a 3 out of 5 stars rating, by the way — in case you were wondering if it’s any good this holiday!)

So, I wonder if  the great party in the parking garage came to a screeching halt, once the bottle of Silver Bells was gone?

Makes me a bit sad to think a nice summer evening party in a parking garage came to a halt too soon!

But, this summer, if you need to do some testing, we here at Global Energy Labs want your “party” to go for much longer!  If you are doing some exploration, and need to test multiple samples, we have a special deal.

We created 2 special summer testing packages:

– $750 for Frac sand initial testing package – includes washing and processing, sieve analysis, sphericity and roundness (1 size), bulk density (1 size), crush resistance test at initial API recommended stress (1 size):  Special pricing of $750 (normally $950)

– $1,450 for Full API frac sand testing package – Includes washing and processing, sieve analysis, sphericity and roundness (1 size), turbidity (1 size), acid solubility (1 size), bulk density (1 size), K value crush resistance test (1 size): Special pricing of $1,450 (normally $1,950)

Better hurry though, this offer ends soon.

To stretch your testing “party” MUCH further than just 1 sample, go here!
