Print The Legend Testing Practices

I just watched the classic western “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.”  What a great film, I was ashamed that it took me so long to watch the whole thing!

Jimmy Stewart plays an enterprising attorney, who rises to political fame and power because — as legend has it — he is the man that shot Liberty Valance!

Liberty Valance was a notorious road agent and outlaw, who terrorized the town folk and farmers in the area.

Now, at the end of the movie, it’s revealed that Jimmy Stewart’s character didn’t actually shoot Liberty Valance (he missed).  Instead, it was Stewart’s one-time friend, the legendary cowboy Doniphon (played by John Wayne), that actually took out Valance with a rifle, from a dark alley.

Spoiler alert!  Ooops, too late! :^)

Now, as the Jimmy Stewart character looks back on his life, he tells the news reporter that he didn’t actually shoot Liberty Valance.

In a twist, the reporter throws his notes into the fire, and says “This is the West.  When the legend becomes fact, print the legend.”

Now, that makes for an outstanding movie.

But, in the testing world, we have to stick with reporting just the facts of the tests!

That means becoming the legend is up to you, and your project!

Let’s help you become a legend in energy, metals, and minerals, with the following test packages:

1 – for testing of any type of metal ore, I recommend our scanning electron microscope testing (SEM) through world renowned extractive metallurgist Dr. Paul Miranda.  You can send various metal ore samples, and we can use powerful SEM testing capabilities to tell you what is in your ore, and whether or not it might be economically feasible to go after

2 – for testing of most minerals, (for example clays, barite, bauxite, etc.) we can do x-ray powder diffraction testing (XRD) that gives you a complete rundown of what your sample contains

3 – For sand testing, we have 2 special summer testing packages that end ‘purty darn soon:

– $750 for Frac sand initial testing package – includes washing and processing, sieve analysis, sphericity and roundness (1 size), bulk density (1 size), crush resistance test at initial API recommended stress (1 size):  Special pricing of $750 (normally $950)

– $1,450 for Full API frac sand testing package – Includes washing and processing, sieve analysis, sphericity and roundness (1 size), turbidity (1 size), acid solubility (1 size), bulk density (1 size), K value crush resistance test (1 size): Special pricing of $1,450 (normally $1,950)

Better hurry though, the sand special offer ends soon.
