As I was talking about the other day, my daughter fractured her arm on the trampoline. It’s been an ordeal.
One of the annoying things is the arm sling. The first sling that we came home with from the hospital was too small, even though it was an adult size!
Then we got an adult medium, but after a few days, it seemed to be poorly padded in a few areas, and was really making her sore.
So, finally we just pulled the trigger, and ordered a super-whamodyne really nice sling. It has sturdy stitching, yet is padded in the key areas. Seems good to go now! She headed out the door this morning for a school field trip, and was excited to go.
Testing can kinda be like sling selection.
You might be able to find out quite a bit about your material with some basic testing.
But, often, the investment must be made for more testing, or more complex testing. For instance:
* SEM testing can be ordered in order to determine whether the metals in an ore might be economically feasible
* frac sand testing is just not complete without full K value crush testing. You might know that your sand is highly pure silica, but without crush testing it’s not possible to know whether or not it might make it into the market
* When evaluating a promising property, in order to see whether the whole deposit is capable of going into production, there is nothing short of a drilling program and lots of testing that will really give you the “warm and fuzzy” feeling that the project is worthwhile. These drilling and testing projects are expensive!
